Analysis

In 2010, the percentage of European households with broadband Internet access was 61%, although with important differences between countries. While countries such as Sweden and Denmark record percentages above 80%, in others like Rumania hardly 23% of households have Internet broadband access. In Spain, 57% of households have Internet broadband access, 6 percentage points more than in 2009. With regard to households which have Internet access in the EU-27, the values for Spain are high above the average (97% vs. 87%).
