Analysis

80.6% of Spanish households have fixed telephone, according to the results of the Survey on the Equipment and Use of Information and Communication Technologies in households, published by the INE and referring to 2011.
The implementation of fixed telephones has decreased in the last years. While in 2002 the percentage of households with fixed telephone was 90.2%, currently this percentage is 80.6%, 9.6 percentage points below figures for 2002. However, if we make a comparison of the last two years we observe a stagnation of the decline, since in the period 2010-2011 the drop was only of 0.3 percentage points.
